MilBek Training based inSarah Askew receives the National Training Awards (Eastern Region) Trophy from Angela Rippon in 2003 Wisbech offers accredited training in Food Hygiene and Health & Safety. Food Hygiene covers Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced level qualifications and extends to HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points). New HACCP legislation comes into force in 2006 and employers should be aware of the important changes - details of which can be found on the company’s website. Health & Safety covers the three levels from Foundation to Advanced with Manual Handling and Chemical Awareness (COSHH regulations) included as separate awards.

All Food Hygiene and Health & Safety courses result in an industry-recognised certificate for trained candidates. The awarding bodies are The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and The Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH).

Head of Training at MilBek is Sarah Askew. Gaining many of her qualifications whilst working for a multi-national food manufacturing company, Sarah extended her experience by working for specialist training colleges. She has also qualified as an NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier (Food & Drink). In 2003 Sarah won the National Training Awards (Eastern Region) Trophy, an honour awarded to only the very best trainers. In 2004 she served on the National Training Awards panel of judges.
