Find out about Eurostar - Cambridge briefing  - 14th November 07
1 May 2007

Eurostar will be coming to Cambridge to brief key stakeholders on how Cambridge and the surrounding area will benefit when international rail services launch from the new St Pancras International station in central London on 14 November 2007.

Ebbsfleet International, a new station close to Bluewater shopping centre in Kent, will open a few days later.

The launch will herald a new era of train travel as people in Cambridge will be able to use high-frequency domestic rail services to London, or the convenience of the extensive parking facilities at Ebbsfleet, to connect with Eurostar services to the Continent over High Speed 1, the country’s first dedicated high-speed railway.

On the morning of Wednesday 16th May in central Cambridge, a Director from Eurostar will talk about:
bullet
How Eurostar services will soon provide a genuine alternative to short-haul air for
international travellers from Cambridge
bullet
How Cambridge can benefit from better connections to the Continent
bullet
The facilities on offer at the magnificent new St. Pancras International, and the convenience of Ebbsfleet International, just off junction 2 of the M25, near Dartford and Bluewater
bullet
The benefits to inbound tourism in Cambridge that Eurostar will bring
bullet
The environmental benefits of taking Eurostar
Eurostar will also be available following the presentation for media interviews and further questions.
